Polar expedition clothing on show at the Industrial Textiles Trade Fair
Royal Albert hall, London, April 1958. For his Polar expedition, Dr. Vivien Fuchs and his party wore cotton string vests, cotton ventile anoraks and trousers, mukluks (snow boots) with cotton canvas uppers. They also used cotton tenting, kit bags and webbing straps.
