Recorded interview with Frances Burgess (nee Lockett), the first Cotton Queen chosen and crowned in 1930.

Transcript and sound recording, part 2. Frances Locket was born in Glossop in October 1911. Later "Miss Glossop" (although she worked in Hyde), and was crowned 'Cotton Queen' in 1930. The recording covers her election and experiences as Cotton Queen.
